Lonely with 7 billion people

funny to know that we’re such a tiny piece of the universe

we are a glance in the twinkling of Atlas‘ eye

no matter for place & time

we exist with our problems & struggles

never thinking of how minor they are

to all the homes

we call galaxies & beyond

I steer so much space to fill

in the dreams & hopes & wishes

that we find our true love

our true calling

enough money would be nice

seem to forget too often how it doesn’t

matter to anything

bigger than us

& what does size even tell?

choose to be taken by surprise about what life will offer me

still I’d wish you come by, gaze with me

at the place we live in, home we call earth
